Description

Master the skills to deliver evidence-based wound care, reduce hospital admissions, and empower patients with long-term healing. From assessments to suture removal, this course covers it all.

Who is this course for?

Perfect for refreshing and expanding the skills of registered practitioners already competent in wound care, boost confidence, sharpen techniques, and improve patient outcomes from the ground up.

What will I learn?

This practical course equips learners with evidence-based wound care skills aligned with both local formulary and national policy. With a strong focus on improving patient outcomes, participants will learn to carry out robust initial health assessments that facilitate timely access to community care, helping to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions.

Learners will build confidence in making referrals through correct pathways, performing and understanding ABPI Doppler assessments, and safely removing sutures and staples in a simulated clinical environment.

The course also empowers learners to support patient education, promoting effective self-care and wound management strategies for both chronic and post-surgical wounds.
