Join our comprehensive interactive online course designed to advance knowledge, skills, and confidence in managing all aspects of menopause care in primary care from first presentations through to complex clinical decision-making. Written by doctors with extensive experience in menopause management, this course combines in-depth, evidence-based learning with practical consultation skills, interactive content, self-assessment, and case scenarios drawn from real-world clinical practice.
The course explores every stage of the menopause consultation, from assessment and diagnosis through to personalised management and long-term follow-up. It is suitable for clinicians who are new to menopause care as well as those looking to deepen, refresh, or enhance their expertise in delivering safe, effective, and individualised menopause care.
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for primary care clinicians and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of women experiencing perimenopause and menopause. It is suitable for those new to menopause care, as well as practitioners seeking a more advanced understanding of menopause assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation skills.
What will I learn?
By the end of the course, you will feel confident managing the menopause consultation from initial assessment through to treatment and long-term follow-up. You will develop a deeper understanding of hormonal changes throughout the menstrual cycle and menopause transition, recognise the short- and long-term health impacts of menopause, and understand how to assess physical, psychological, cognitive, and sexual health concerns.
The course will strengthen your clinical decision-making skills in menopause management, including lifestyle and holistic approaches, non-hormonal therapies, and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). You will gain confidence in HRT including benefits, risks, contraindications, delivery methods, troubleshooting common challenges, and managing menopause in women with coexisting medical conditions. Through interactive learning and case-based scenarios, you will develop the practical skills needed to provide personalised, evidence-based menopause care in everyday clinical practice.
